“ We visited the restaurant a Sunday earlier in December it was moderately busy and sat at the bar. Bartender friendly and provided good customer service but as the evening transpired she definitely could have used some help behind the bar. My fiancé had the smoked chicken with double mashed potatoes. It's interesting how the sides come in small plastic containers even if you dine in, that's portion control. I had the brisket, hellfire chili, and Mac and cheese, and corn bread. I do recommend the jalapeño corn bread! He really enjoyed the smoked chicken as it was moist and a nice smoked flavor with bbq sauce. The brisket was a bit fatty and lacking moisture and seasoning. I'm not a bbq aficionado so it was fine with plenty of bbq sauce. Their Mac and cheese is always a classic comfort food side along with their mashed potatoes and gravy. The hellfire chili was not as spicy hot as the name suggests, but seasoned with a kick for sure. The Chili is bean free which I like but it also needed more moisture, it really is a cup of seasoned meet topped with cheese. I added bbq sauce to the chili and it was very tasty. I'd love some jalapeños on top and a dollop of sour cream! I love the mural of the lizards in the desert that emulates the Village of Liverpool, really unique touch. Fun and festive bar ambiance. The check took some time at the end of our meal, business was picking up and only one bartender to accommodate all the bar guests and drinks for restaurant diners. The check was around $50-$60 with two beers a piece. ”
“ The Burnt End sandwich was AMAZING. With some jalapeño cornbread and potato salad, it was genuinely one of the most satisfying meals I've ever ordered. I'm not from here so if you're passing through as well I highly recommend trying that if nothing else. ”
“ Great food and good staff. Prices are average to high but you get what you pay for. This is def comparable if not better at times than other places such as dinosaur. If you sit in the bar area it is loud, if you don't like loud ask to sit in the area as you walk in. The wait time here isn't bad at all for a good bbq place. I've turned her numerous times when other places had long waits within the area and always gotten in rather quick. ”
“ I love this place. Awesome variety of beers, friendly staff, and awesome food. This place in Liverpool,NY has the BEST wings I have ever had. The wings here are better than at Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse even though the smoked hot wings at Dinosaur BBQ are very good. The wings here take the trophy for sure. If you are a chicken wing connoisseur, you absolutely have to try the smoked hot wings here at Limp Lizard in Liverpool NY ”
“ Liverpool Limp Lizard is on point again. We ordered to go this time, so we could enjoy our meal watching Thurs. night football at home. I ordered my usual Cowboy Salad with side of hellfire chili. Portion was huge as always. Especially the chili. That's a SIDE!! Great flavors and best when combined together. Janice ordered the Nashville hot chicken. She appreciated the sauce on the side. It was not too hot either. Just the right amount of heat. The two sides were tasty as well. We've always had a good meal here. The place was packed on a Thursday night. Our bartender/server did an excellent job. It was only her fourth night working there! It's a definite Check em Out rating!! ”
“ I'm originally from the south. I love barbecue. But I went vegetarian over 13 years ago and have a hard time finding BBQ restaurants that I can actually eat at. While I did not technically get BBQ food at Limp Lizard, I did get amazing food and tons of options to choose from, which made me feel included in the party! I ended up ordering the Black Bean Burger with a side of Mac & Cheese and Cucumber Tomato Salad. It was delicious. And I was so happy to not have the new favorite "vegetarian go-to" for every restaurant-- the Beyond Burger option... I just can't with those anymore. We sat at the bar and our bartender was just the loveliest bundle of joy ever. She was so sweet, attentive, and genuine. We could tell that her regulars loved her as well. Limp Lizard is set in the heart of the center of Liverpool, a quick walk from our Airbnb. It's quirky and quaint, while also enjoying a very obvious lively atmosphere. If I lived in the area, I would be here all the time. ”
“ Wow... I really liked this place I had the brisket and smoked wings dinner. The dinner included 2 sides which I picked the slaw and the chili... I really enjoyed the chili it was awesome but the slaw was a bit to vinaigre tasting for me. The corn bread was delicious. The brisket was really good but the wings with the blueberry BBQ sauce were the belle of the the ball. This is well worth visiting the service was awesome. I had a great time. ”
